Welcome to the First Carnival of the Podcasts!
This is the first Carnival of the Podcasts, and we have some great entries that I know you'll enjoy listening to! Podcasts can be heard with any music player on your computer, just click the links to listen. This carnival will include direct links to the podcasts themselves, as well as links to the blogs they belong to. Enjoy!
The first podcast is "I Need A Superhero: The M-Cast Event" written, produced, and performed by Josh Cohen of Multiple Mentality. Josh said, "In early July, I wrote a series of five posts called 'I Need A Superhero', looking at the changing nature of the superhero in American culture. I turned them into the longest podcast I've ever done -- 53 minutes. The average M-Cast is 5-15 minutes."

• Dubya poses as a Canadian to get their oil
• Laurence Simon updates "Jack and the Beanstalk" with a pot-smoking Willie Nelson
• Harvey has Fun Facts about Hawaii
• Buck the Marine reviews "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2: Summit Strike"
• RightWingDuck answers listener questions on the energy industry

The next entry is from the blog Reverse Retina. David Green, a soldier currently stationed in Iraq, is the blog's writer and podcaster. He is an EXCELLENT podcaster - one of the best in my opinion (he is also a professional radio talk show host so that helps..lol). His latest podcast is for August 5th and topics include: Militaryspot.com, Bosnia, Generation Gap/Techno Gap, Running Scared...

The next entry is from the blog Rip & Read. This podcast entry is titled 'The State of the Shouting Match Debate Shows', which compares and contrasts last
week's Robert Novak vs. James Carville dustup on "Inside Politics" on CNN, with one between Gore Vidal and William F. Buckley Jr. in a 1968 debate at the Democratic National Convention.

The last entry is mine, my podcast for Monday August 8th. In this podcast you'll get to hear about my cold call to CTP Z and his wife at Walter Reed, my heading down to a bad neighborhood to get a better deal for our troops on a few electronics, as well as why I do what I do personally, and something about a local radio celebrity I get to meet.
