Chuck (Capt Z) To Be On The Next Podcast!!

Ok, so I haven't forgotten about the weekend edition of the podcast (supposed to be out last Friday), I've just been working on making it a great podcast....so it's a little late. I guess this podcast might end up being the Weekend/Monday Edition, but it is coming and it will be a good one. So what's the waiting for? Chuck Ziengenfuss of course! Chuck, his wife Carren and his mom Alice will all be on the upcoming podcast!! That's worth a little wait eh? I will do my best to have it up tomorrow evening after supper, so make sure you check back for it.
Also, I have been working as well on putting into a podcast 2 interviews that are also well worth listening to, and that is interviews with my grandmother and great-grandmother about living through WWI and WWII. Yes, I am 30 years old and my great-grandmother - the most amazing woman on earth - is still alive and wonderful to talk to. She is 97 years old, still a 20 year old who happens to be 97 years old really, and remembers the Titanic sinking. REMEMBERS. She wasn't just a baby when it happened, she was old enough to remember the event.
My grandmother is in her late 70's and she has vivid recollections as well of WWII. So - you will get to hear 2 great interviews from strong, amazing and interesting women who lived through almost the entire last century. You do not want to miss hearing first hand what WWI was like, what America was like, what the attitude of our country was at those times, how our country united and strove for victory unlike anything seen since.
These women remember the exact moment they first heard about Pearl Harbor, my great-grandma remembers the moment WWI became a reality for America. Where there any anti-war protests then? How fast did they get the news of battles and fighting? How did they get their news? What sacrifices did Americans at home make to ensure our victories? What are the biggest differences between this war and those wars in their opinion? It's better than any old stuffy textbook, it's better than watching a movie - it's an interview with women who were there and REMEMBER.
So be sure to come back here tomorrow evening to hear the podcast with Capt Z and his family, and later in the week come back to hear from these amazing women. (My oldest son is 10 and gets to visit his great-great-grandma...how many people can say that???!!) You'll enjoy the podcasts this week!

Getting ready for our Cotillion dance is not an easy task. We can't just throw a blurb up on our site, we must properly prepare ourselves and it is a long and tedious task. In preparing for today's dance, it...
